RhyTech Materials World is the name of the Technology Park for Material Sciences and Structured Surfaces in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. RhyTech provides an excellent and specialised technological facility for start-ups, existing technology businesses and universities. Our Roots
The area of Schaffhausen has long been home to a wide range of industrial sectors – from precision engineering to mould-making, casting and injection-moulding technologies and the production and processing of aluminium. The city of Neuhausen at the Rhine Falls was the first location in Europe to witness aluminium smelting and electrolysis on an industrial scale.

Schaffhausen can still lay claim to specific expertise and know-how in the fields of material science and surface technologies. Recognised as one of the key technologies of our century, the developments around new materials are expected to continue to yield high growth rates. Research and development alone are not enough to ensure new technologies are successful at getting to market. In order to secure success in the marketplace, new products, materials and the innovations they incorporate have to be produced on an industrial scale. This is where RhyTech Materials World located in Neuhausen, offers an exceptional platform.
